The Manager, Content Specialist (Multimedia) for the Communications and Marketing Group is responsible for creating compelling visual content for GovTech.


The Manager will be part of the content team to support the communications and content needs with expertise in creating visual content across all spectrums.

These include photos, animated gifs, videos and more.

These content aim to tell stories about the culture and values of GovTech, how we do Tech for Public Good, and to cover GovTech's community engagement efforts and events.

The Manager will also be tasked to manage, amplify, and monitor created content on social media and digital channels to continuously drive engagement and build brand affinity.


This role sits within the Marketing Communications team of GovTech's Communications and Marketing Group, whose goal is to promote awareness and understanding, drive adoption, use and satisfaction of the Singapore Government's digital services.

The Group strives for GovTech to be recognised as a thought leader in digital Government in Singapore and internationally.

What you will be working on:

1)Content creation**:

  • Create and edit multimedia content, including short form videos, long form videos, and visual assets, while ensuring highquality production.
  • Develop compelling storylines, scripts, and visual concepts for videos that resonate with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with media partners and production houses for seamless content production while ensuring alignment with overall content strategy.
  • Use platform analytics tools to assess the success of different content formats and make datadriven recommendations for content improvement and optimization.
  • Continuously experiment with new video formats and techniques to keep content fresh, engaging, and in line with emerging trends.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to visual storytelling and video production.

2) Video editing and production:

  • Repurpose written content into video format while maintaining consistency with the brand's identity.
  • Utilize video editing software and graphic design tools to create visually appealing and impactful multimedia assets.
  • Implement video optimization techniques, such as closed captioning, subtitles, and video descriptions, to improve accessibility and searchability.
  • Adapt content for different platforms and channels to maximize engagement and reach.

3) Social media management:

  • Understand the nuances of each social media platform (e.g., YouTube, TikTok) and tailor content formats accordingly.
  • Monitor social media platforms and track content performance metrics, including views, engagement rates, clickthrough rates, and audience demographics.
  • Analyze data gathered from social media channels to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Creative with a strong eye for type and layout in design.

Self-motivated and works independently to accomplish tasks on time.

Multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality or focus.

Resourceful, quick on your feet and solution oriented. You can take information, run with it and with mínimal supervision.

Proficient in editing programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects etc.)
