Job Essentials

Team Management

  • Follow the guidance of Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs to carry out tasks effectively.
  • Be adaptable to the needs of the business, ready to work any day or shift.
  • Maintain focus and complete tasks sequentially.
  • Adhere to work assignments from Chef de Partie within specified timeframes.
  • Engage in company training sessions with a positive attitude and align with company values.
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively to foster a harmonious work environment in the culinary department.
  • Show enthusiasm and pride in your work, ensuring high-quality outcomes for guests.
  • Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, promptly reporting maintenance issues.
  • Uphold grooming standards for yourself and team, ensuring positive customer interactions.
  • Arrive punctually as per schedule, following correct procedures for sickness or absence.

Kitchen / Food Preparation

  • Oversee food production to meet recipe and quality standards, maintaining presentation and portion control.
  • Ensure food items meet quality and hygiene requirements, implementing best practices such as 'First in First out.'
  • Properly store all food items during shifts in designated fridges and containers.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all culinary work areas, ensuring colleagues clean their stations post-service.
  • Instruct and ensure the safe usage of equipment among culinary staff.

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

  • Degree / Diploma and Certification in Culinary Arts/ Pastry/ Bakery

Work Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in culinary arts

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to recognize various raw materials and cuisines.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Proficient in knife skills and cooking preparation.
  • Professional and well-presented demeanor.
  • Availability for shift work.
