Head of Pakistan and Asean Digital Policy Programs

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Do you have the experience in public policy and government engagements to advance the public policy agenda of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading cloud platform provider? We are looking for a talented, innovative and motivated public policy professional to join us as Head of Pakistan and ASEAN Digital Policy Programs Lead.

The role is based in Singapore and will require international travel as allowed by public health guidelines.

  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies related to digital policy issues in ASEAN.
  • Develop and execute government affairs advocacy objectives and policy priorities for AWS in Pakistan.
  • Monitor, assess and develop action plans to address potential regulatory threats and government sector business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively and transparently with policymakers and regulators to ensure alignment between core business priorities and public policy goals.
  • Manage and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs and key initiatives in concert with AWS business objectives, working closely alongside colleagues in other regions;
  • Drive strategic thirdparty engagement and partnership through industry coalitions, academia, and think tanks;
  • Facilitate highlevel engagements between AWS executives and key stakeholders, including senior government officials, regulators, industry associations and alliance partners to promote and advocate the company's public policy policies.
  • A strong knowledge of, and background in cloud computing policy developments in ASEAN and Pakistan.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant discipline (Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, etc.) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with digital policy and regulatory environments across multiple ASEAN jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships and networks with others.
  • Demonstrated strong judgment/decisionmaking skills, and political acumen.
  • Ability to influence and strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at highest corporate and government levels.
  • Ability to maintain highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality and integrity, with a strong professional reputation in the industry.
  • Selfstarter with proven track record of successfully working with a wide array of functional groups and cultures across an organization.
  • Knowledge of Urdu is beneficial.
