Job Description:

  • Manage and be responsible for the entire Project Life Cycle on new SICK sensors developments;
- from concept level until production using Agile methodologies.

  • Drive collaboration between team members within various project workpackages, from different geographical locations, to ensure team and project success.
  • Ensure project transparency and team empowerment through effective project meetings and use of communication tools e.g. JIRA Inspire and drive team members while managing changes throughout the project.
  • Effectively identify and mitigate risks to ensure project deliverables (scope, budget, timeline and quality) are not compromised.
  • Lead in solving complex problems by taking new perspective from available solutions.
  • Drive actively for reuse and implementation of best practices throughout project lifecycle utilizing lessons learnt.
  • Actively engage in discussions with stakeholders to ensure a strong focus on the project deliverables.
  • Communicate clearly and transparently to stakeholders (internally and externally) including reporting and escalation to management.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor or Masters in Electronics, Firmware, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems or Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II / Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification is a plus.
  • At least 8 years in embedded systems product development and managed at least 2 product development project cycles.
  • Demonstrates good knowledge on general engineering knowhow.
  • An advocate of Agile tools and techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills with the demonstrative ability to work within a team as well as ability to solve conflicts effectively.
  • Selfmotivated with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to work within broad guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
  • Experience with Functional Safety Assessments e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 13849 is a plus.
