  • Track and analyze Equipment Idling Time (EIT). Reduce/Stop any unnecessary depot idle time. Implement and enforce measures to improve depot idle time at every location. Submit a Weekly Report to the Management.
  • Track and analyze Equipment Repair Time (ERT). Implement and enforce measures to reduce ERT where applicable. Submit a Weekly Report to the Management.
  • Explore, initiate and execute Empty Equipment Repositioning (EER) to move empty containers from surplus to deficit locations at lowest costs possible. Timely execution, with factors such as POL days, Sea days, POD days, Repair Time, Export Demand and others, is crucial to formulate such plan and ensure deficit locations have sufficient inventory to meet the Export demand.
  • Initiate and followup on all Depot Contracts. Scrutinize the commercia/operational terms and conditions to ensure the clauses are aligned with company policy and target.
  • Monitor and implement control measure to ensure all Depots follow First-InFirst-Out (FIFO) methodology at all times.
  • Responsible for Overall cost reduction measures & objectives for Inventory Department
  • Manage and motivate inventory and M+R Team (based in Chennai). Lead, guide and supervise the Team to improve overall efficiencies in equipment handling and repairs.
  • Assist Management on any other inventory related projects or initiatives, as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in equipment management
  • A commitment to excellent customer service and passionate to deliver service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Result Oriented, high level of ownership and independent drive.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
  • Ability to adjust to and work comfortably in a multicultural and multinational environment.
