Role Summary:
In this position, you will assist the Data Engineering team at Prudential Singapore in establishing the Health Pillar on Azure Data Lake in the Cloud. You will be responsible for creating data pipelines for new sources, real-time streaming, data transformations within the Data Lake, CI/CD, and data delivery to meet business needs.
- Build pipelines to gather a wide variety of data from multiple sources, including social media and public data sources.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to acquire data and ensure its availability for downstream consumption.
- Work with the team to design effective solutions that align with business requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, addressing any concerns or risks affecting project delivery.
- Escalate dependencies, challenges, and critical issues as needed.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring objectives are achieved within budget and quality standards.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan for project execution, both internally and externally.
- Facilitate the seamless handover of the project for ongoing operations and conduct post-implementation reviews when necessary.
Requirements:

- Experience with a Cloud Infrastructure provider (Azure/AWS)
- Proficiency in building data pipelines using Apache Spark or Hive query language
- Familiarity with Big data ETL processing tools
- Knowledge of Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro/Parquet/ORC)
- Basic scripting knowledge (shell/bash)
- Working experience with various data sources including relational databases, NoSQL, and flat files
- Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Azure DevOps
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices using Git version control
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize large-scale data processing jobs
Work Experience:
3-8 years of diverse experience in Enterprise IT applications in cloud platforms and big data environments.
Professional Qualifications:
Certifications in Data and Analytics are a plus.
Education:
Master's/Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
Language:
Proficient in both written and verbal English
