COMPANY DESCRIPTION
MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.
Grounded in the belief that all PWIDs have innate abilities and talents, MINDS is committed to empowering them and enhancing their quality of life, while advocating for greater inclusivity for PWIDs as a nation.
With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media and Influence
- Initiate and expand MINDS social media influence and engagement, through new channels, content creation, etc.
- Ensure MINDS' social media platforms are maintained and maximised for engagement and storytelling.
- Support social media analysis and measurement of outreach success/outcomes.
Website Management
- Manage website content on WordPress, ensuring information relayed to the public is updated and accurate.
Tasks including but not limited to:
creation of new pages, update existing pages/content, copy editing.
Corporate Communications
- Generate ideas to elevate the brand while providing assistance to entities to ensure compliance of branding guidelines.
- Facilitate and/or review external partners' requests for collaboration and publicity materials with mention of MINDS.
- Produce corporate publications such as corporate brochures, annual reports, newsletters and other collaterals.
- Ensure quarterly enewsletter and any necessary information is circulated to MINDS staff in a timely manner.
Events & Initiatives
- Assist in the development and execution of public education initiatives to raise public awareness of MINDS mission and service offerings, house brand products, through events, presentations, tours, exhibitions etc.
Media Management
- Support corporate events in the area of media management and execution.
- Manage media queries and requests.
- Draft media statements, responses to media and public queries, develop communications collaterals.
- Develop and nurture good relationships with the media and influencers to build goodwill.
QUALIFICATIONS
OTHER INFORMATION
- At least 2 years of work experience in communications, marketing, content creation; with good grasp of written, editorial and oral communications
- Proficient in graphic design i.e. Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience and/or knowledge in WordPress
- Added advantage for those with knowledge/skill/experience in digital marketing, media relations, corporate branding
