About the Team

Ecommerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators.

We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality.


The IPR protection function within the Governance and Experience team is committed to protecting intellectual property rights and maintaining a healthy and safe e-commerce environment on TikTok's E-commerce Platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and enhance content policies, processes, and frameworks to minimize IPR risk from a proactive governance approach.
  • Identify gaps, loopholes, and deficiencies in content policy, process, and metrics, and initiate projects to improve quality across the IPR program.
  • Work closely with our moderation and vendor teams to improve quality metrics.
  • Implement and enhance proactive monitoring programs, review quality metrics, and investigate reports to minimize counterfeit risk on the platform.
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders to ensure IPR protection is enforced across TikTok Shop.
  • Conduct trainings to educate XFN teams about IPR policies and processes.
  • Collect data and conduct segmentation analysis to minimize IPR risk on the platform.
  • Define operational metrics and signals, and build dashboards to monitor various aspects of IPR risk effectively and efficiently while creating scalable solutions across TikTok Shop.
  • Handle High-Priority escalations to ensure bad actor behavior is caught and handled in a timely manner.
  • Maintain crossfunctional partnerships with XFN to implement optimal solutions to IPRrelated problems, as well as with our vendor teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • At least 23 years experience in one or more of the following areas: Intellectual Property Operations, Risk Management, Trust and Safety, or Policy Development in Ecommerce or tech industry.
  • Ability to build meaningful policies and successfully implement policies at a global level.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fastpaced working environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with crossfunctional teams, and collaborate with different business units and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working at a global company and navigating nuances of a multicultural environment.
  • Passion and strong interest in working at TikTok
