Oversee the entire finance and data analytics activities of the organisation.

  • Deliver sound advice in managing risks and drive financial rigour for the various programmes and initiatives across the foundation.
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks as a foundation for client and funderfacing data analytics uses.
  • Manage our board meetings and reporting to regulators, including the Commissioner of Charities
The Senior Manager's duties with ACF include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the forecasting and budgeting process and accurate reporting of actuals against budget.
  • Prepare and disseminate accurate and timely reports including monthly financial statements, monthly reconciliations (more regular for ACF), quarterly forecasts, quarterly board reports, and annual financial reports
  • Provide management and oversight of finance processes, including producing invoices, receipts and reconciling them against the books, managing our bookkeeping outsourced partner, and ensuring disbursements and payables are monitored and reported in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide management and oversight of annual audits.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to team mates on any accounting, payments and budget queries
  • Ensure organisational compliance with financial policies and procedures and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Update organisational policies to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Oversee finance operations and liquidity/cash flow management
  • Manage our board meetings and materials are in order, arrange for committee and board meetings and AGMs, annual filings and coordinate with the corporate secretary
  • Support our grants reporting, and manage all financial reporting to regulators, including Commissioner of Charities
  • Implement data management controls and rectify data quality issues on a timely basis.
  • Support in continuous assessment of procedures and control and implementing process improvement as necessary
  • Coaching junior staff to achieve team and company goal as well as individual performance standards
In the Donor-advised funds management scope, there will also be the following responsibilities:

  • Set up the finance and accounting system in Quickbooks, and in the future to support its integration with the ACF donor and grant management system, to allow for the efficient setting up and management of Donor Advised Funds, the effective tracking of funds flows into and out of each individual Fund, and regular reporting and analysis.
  • Facilitate transactions among Donor Advised Funds; communicate closely with the Donor Relations team to report to donors on fund activity.
  • Work closely with the Grants team in the processing and timely payments of grants to charity partners, both locally and overseas.
  • Review and ensure the accounts and financial statements of the DAFs and ACF are properly drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Charity Act.

Requirements are:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, or organisational finance role
  • Possess at least a Diploma in Accounting, preferably a university degree
  • Wellversed with Quickbooks software (or other bookkeeping software), Microsoft Excel
  • Experienced in bookkeeping, budget forecasting and monitoring, managing accounting processes and ensuring financial accountability
  • Highly meticulous, reliable and independent worker
  • Highlevel of personal integrity with track record as a team player
  • Excellent at working in small teams
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Adaptable and enjoys working in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong alignment with the mission and vision of ACF
Salary will be commensurate with experience and capabilities.
