The Assistant Manager (AM) will be a member of the EMBA Chinese programme team.

The AM ensure the smooth running of the programme operation including assisting the marketing team on the admission process of the EMBA Chinese students and supporting the administrative work in the Associate Dean's office (CPO).

This administrative work is expected to occupy one third of the time.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Admission Matters- Assist in the admission process including but not limited to tracking document submissions, following-up with applicants on the acceptance of offers. Support Singapore info sessions.- Coordinate work with Shanghai team on admission matters.
  • Candidature Management & Student Matters Handle student enquiries and address the enquiries in a timely manner

3 Programme Management- Class Scheduling:
assist in the planning of timetable and book venues for teaching activities.- Course Registration &

Teaching Materials:
assist in the registration of courses taken by students for each term in accordance with the timeline and procurement of course materials

  • Faculty Appointment and Support:
handle teaching appointment related matters, teaching evaluation and provide related teaching supports

  • Examination:
Liaise with course instructors for the preparation of exams and provide examination supports.

  • Finance matters Arrange payment to course instructors.- Assist with submission of expenses from Shanghai Office to Finance for processing.
  • Administration Support to Associate Dean's office- Calendar management and associated tasks, booking conference rooms, audio visual equipment, copies, preparing docs & scheduling meetings, etc.- Overseas travel arrangements.- Performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties with mínimal supervision.
  • Others- Assist in the programme events and student activities.- Support accreditation and academic reviews.- Any other ad-hoc duties or special projects assigned by the reporting officer.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree from a recognised University
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in administrative duties; and events/programmes management in the higher education industry will be a plus.
  • Able to multitask and work independently under time pressure
  • Meticulous and organized with the ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate a portfolio of activities to meet the necessary deadlines.
  • Selfmotivated with ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn and take on challenges.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin (oral and written) due to interaction with Chinese counterparts and students
  • Knowledge/Training in data analytics will be an added advantage
