Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in
    all legal matters and issues
  • Prepare and review the company's standard templates of legal documents, forms and agreements.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of agreements covering, customers, vendors, partners including but not limited to commodity finance related agreements, service agreements.
  • Provides timely legal risk hints and comments for the company's daily business, including business transactions, administrative and HR affairs, financial affairs, data and privacy affairs, etc. Regularly conduct legal knowledge and case training for the business team to keep the legal risk under control.
  • Work with and manage external legal counsels, handling litigation related issues of the company's business.
  • Conduct legal research, analyses impact of legal developments on the Company.
  • Provide timely and reliable legal advice and guidance on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Implement the global corporate risk and insurance management guidelines.
  • To service the global and Business Unit for cargo insurance and all insurance lines.
  • To keep up with related regulations and provide risk advices to management.
  • To coordinate for the insurance policies & certificate issuance, premium settlement
  • To deliver internal insurance and risk management trainings etc.
  • To regularly conduct risk identification and assessment, and prepare the risk assessment report.
  • To work with Insurer's claim center and track settlement claim cases.
  • To analyze loss/damage claim report and provide risk advices to management.
  • Other work assigned by the management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent law qualification
  • Minimum 5 years in a law firm and/or inhouse legal for a global company
  • A strong experience in logistics or shipping or air transportation industry, familiar with Warsaw Convention or the Montreal Convention etc.
  • Strong analytical ability, meticulous and quick learner
  • A good team player but able to work independently
  • High integrity and ethical compass
  • Comfortable to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Can speak Chinese to communicate effectively with our Chinese counterparts and colleague in overseas.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure sensitive scenarios and to work on multiple matters, dealing with several internal customers concurrently
  • Ability to receive and take on guidance and direction and work independently to help various projects as and when required.

Salary:
$5, $10,000.00 per month
