Role Overview:
TP ICAP's eMarkets group is responsible for driving innovation and evolution within the business.

The groups supports the Senior Managing Directors and Desk Heads in growing their business via design and delivery of new technologies and services, and driving adoption of these products and services with both new and existing clients.

The Product & Business Development Management team are at the leading edge of this process
- each Product & Business Development Manager ("Manager") is tasked with overseeing a particular asset class or product/service-in this instance, Rates, championing it both internally and externally. They are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the product, from developing and validating the business case, through design, delivery and launch, its commercial viability (both front to back office) and long term growth strategy. They work closely with all the stakeholders - clients, brokers, IT and other teams internally to ensure the right product is delivered on time and within budget.

Role Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction

  • Establish the goals for the product/service with the key stakeholders.
  • Work with teams internally to establish a credible strategy to deliver those goals.
  • Understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within a particular asset class and work on credible commercial strategies to ensure long term growth and profitability.
  • Communicate product vision and roadmap internally, ensuring these are aligned with the overall business and technology strategy.
  • Understand external changes from a regulatory and client perspective within the electronic and Rates space.
  • Represent the Company externally, either through forums or industry bodies, and client engagement and meetings.
  • Establish opportunities and business case(s) to expand pure electronic solutions


As a Manager, whilst the following duties will be a common day to day feature of the role, it's expected that you will go above and beyond in terms of innovation and ideas, understanding technology and market structure, and business acumen.

Product Roadmap & Delivery

  • Own the producing, managing and delivering of the product roadmap.
  • Develop business cases to investigate, challenge and design new projects/initiatives
  • Manage product change priority lists across multiple technologies and define project scope associated with the product area.
  • Drive features vs. schedule vs. resources tradeoff decisions.
  • Input into the requirements process for IT projects including interaction with BA, Testers, Vendors & Data management teams.
  • Provide consultancy input and oversight to ongoing projects which are being implemented by the designated project management team.
  • Liaise with client services and operational teams to ensure systems are correctly configured to meet business and commercial demands.
  • UAT Review interim software builds on behalf of end customers and ensure they are 'fit for purpose'.
  • Provide consultancy for QA to develop appropriate business test cases.
  • Provide internal training for new systems and functionality, where necessary.
Ideas

  • Provide creative input to product/system design for ongoing work.
  • Present new ideas back within the eMarkets team to demonstrate understanding of the product/asset class, with focus on establishing hybrid and electronic solutions.
Relationships

  • Recommend product solutions to business users, eMarkets management and business management providing support and guidance in the usage of the systems
  • Liaise with customers of TP ICAP regarding electronic platform implementations, help support and build relationships.
  • Develop long term strategic relationships with clients, interacting with appropriate teams (CRM) to manage client expectations and the overall commercial relationship.
Market Knowledge

  • Keep track of the overall structure of financial markets, and understand the micro structure of the markets relevant to Rates.
  • Understand how regulatory changes that may impact Rates. Provide associated recommendations
