What the role is:

  • Part of the Corporate Group in IMDA, the Incentive Management and Governance.
  • Lead team to automate and streamline grant operations through transforming and digitalisation to enable efficient and effective grant governance and compliance of grant operational processes in IMDA.
  • Guide the development and maintenance of grant funding processes to guide IMDA divisions in the use of public funds to support projects with industry, noprofit organisations, individuals to achieve outcomes that are aligned to IMDA's charter.
  • Safeguard IMDA's interest and public funds, and make sure it is spent on intended purposes.

What you will be working on

  • Supervise the team to automate and simplify operational processes for smart grant processing to achieve efficiency gain in grant operations.
  • A change agent to champion Digitalisation/Operational Transformation and Process automation projects to drive continuous process improvement and excellence by streamlining, redesigning, and digitalising manual, repetitive, timeconsuming processes, and tasks.
  • Oversee the Incentive Management & Governance Operations team to ensure efficient and effective daytoday execution of grant operational related tasks.
  • Conduct regular reviews of operational challenges and issues faced by grantees and business lines, and outsourced claims vendors, and engagement with key internal stakeholders (Policy, Partners Team, Finance, Line Divisions) and occasionally with grantees to ensure prompt and effective resolution of operational issues by identifying areas for improvement and putup recommendations on proposed changes to operation processes.
  • Work with IMG Policy team to lead the execution of the revised grant audit framework to ensure strong governance and compliance of grant operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of grant claims and manage the performance monitoring for the outsourced claims auditors to service levels against SLAs.
  • Mentor and motivate staffs to foster team collaboration, achieve productivity and advocate continuous learning for competencies development.
  • Any other adhoc tasks as assigned.

What we are looking for

  • Degree holder or Polytechnic graduates with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experiences in operational functions;
  • Possess strong planning, prioritizing and organisational abilities to take on leadership role to oversee multiple projects;
  • Experience and ability to lead, motivate and manage a team;
  • Drive towards operational excellence with the ability to think and work proactively to address operational issues and offer solutions to problems; prior experience in operations automation preferred;
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management with cross functional teams for collaboration;
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Be highly selfmotivated, growth mindset and resilient.
