Singapore GRANT PRIDECO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD Full time

XL Systems, NOV supplies the onshore and offshore oil and gas drilling industry with robust and reliable connector products for conductor and surface casing strings.

The Logistics Specialist coordinates logistics for XL Systems manufacturing plant(s) in support of customer orders. Parent company, NOV - XL Systems has their head office in Houston, TX.

The Logistics Coordinator is based in XL Systems Singapore Sales office and travel to XL Systems manufacturing plant in Batam Indonesia will be required.


Responsibilities:

  • To manage and implement an integrated Logistics service which involves liaising and working closely with members of the freight forwarder team. Cargo surveyors, advisors, and other XL Systems staff, ensuring forward planning, preparedness, and a cost effective and efficient service.
  • Ensure permanent visibility of Logistics activity through concise reporting to managers. Key logistics issues should be prioritized, and recommendations made with practical solutions in mind.
  • Update the open orders reports on weekly basis reporting on the status of each orders shipment details.
  • Complete export compliance check list prior to shipment of customer orders
  • Provide necessary back up support to Administrative Assistant as required
  • For sales, service, manufacturing, and inventory:
a) Assist in courier of shipping documents to potential clients. Invoices to accounting department

b) Assist with supplier invoice which includes performing "receiving of purchase orders" in Syteline.

c) Update expenses record, request approval of payment, submitting documents to accounting

d) Notify and assist manufacturing plant of incoming inventory.

e) Arrange and obtain approval for checks and wire transfer request

f) Assist inside sales in soliciting quotation for freight shipment to various destination

  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
  • Interact professionally with team members, other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
  • Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Responsible for and the authority to maintain and promote a safe working environment in accordance with the appropriate HSE procedure(s)
  • Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV
  • Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
  • Ensure compliance of the company's overall objectives
  • Other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The role of jobholder is to provide logistics coordination support to the manufacturing plant, department and / or manager. Duties include managing customer orders to delivery in an efficient, cost effective quality service.
  • Experience working in similar position in a sales or marketing or logistics environment will be an added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in general logistics, transport, and distribution.
  • Extensive experience in clearing and forwarding is desirable.
  • This title does not limit your duties and the company may require you from time to time carry out work that can be reasonably expected of you and is within your capacity.
  • Display a professional company image through in person and telephone interaction.

  • The jobholder must be able to gain respect of fellow employees, customers, management and will be expected to maintain that trust and respect through their actions.
  • Due to the nature of the industry work outside normal office hours will be required. Some weekend work may also arise.
