The Role
We are looking for a talented team member to join the Data Privacy and Security Legal team.

In this role, you will support the Director for Privacy & Security and have an opportunity to work on engaging projects.

You will work in collaboration with members of the legal team on a range of privacy and security-related legal matters.


Responsibilities

  • You are primarily responsible for all privacy/data protection support in the region. You are the initial point of contact for all privacy matters.
  • You will support the privacy team area leads in case they need specific advice on APAC matter.
  • You are responsible for monitoring policy developments (e.g. new laws, regulations, guidance) in the most relevant markets of the region. You will work closely with the APAC public policy team, and core legal team to analyze such developments and to draft submissions.
  • You are responsible for shaping Netflix's position on and analyzing the impact of regional data protection laws that came into force across APAC. You are also responsible for providing context on such laws to the regional legal teams through presentations, Q&A's and training sessions etc.
  • You are responsible for handling inquiries coming from the relevant authorities related to privacy.
  • You are responsible for providing general privacy training across the region.
  • You are responsible for sharing updates to the APAC legal team on an ongoing basis as well as to the Global Privacy team.
