Joining a small but expanding accounting team as a contract Accounts Payable Executive (6 months), your primary role will be to facilitate the day to day Accounts Payable for EssenceMediacom.

This will include helping to manage our day-to-day cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners.

With a fast growing business, spend control is mission critical and cash is king. There's also a lot of change with evolving business requirements.

this role is crucial to help managing part of the P2P processes to enable the AP team to focus on more critical deliverables.


Reporting of the role

This role reports to:
Andrew Wong, Accounting Director.

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • Entering and coding invoices and expenses through SAP accounting system, SAP Concur, and Olive media system
  • Facilitating the internal authorization of invoices through SAP Concur
  • Review T&E expenses to ensure they are properly approved, supported with receipts and in line with the company's T&E policies
  • Being the one of the contact points internally and for externally for accounts payable related queries
  • Process payments which include media, nonmedia and employee reimbursements
  • Assist in reconciliation of AP ledgers and media accrual accounts
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations
  • Complete documentation as per ICFR control requirements
  • Other adhoc or improvement projects from time to time.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in accounting
  • Ideally 1 2 years' experience in accounts payable role
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Google sheet (added advantage)
  • Responsible, diligent, and attentive to detail; follows through on queries and issues
  • Good communicator, comfortable in dealing with both internal and external parties
  • Experience in SAP B1 is preferable
