Job Description

We are in search of a highly analytical Finance Controller to join our Regional Finance team in Singapore. The role involves overseeing the core operations in foodpanda's APAC markets.

The Regional Financial Controller will collaborate with various stakeholders across the APAC region, supporting senior team members in reporting, analysis, compliance, financial planning, and budgeting. This position demands a keen eye for detail, coupled with strategic thinking to drive innovative projects that shape the company's future.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior colleagues in monitoring single entities and consolidating APAC Financials results, contributing to the monthly storyline.
  • Develop and manage financial models for rolling forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Guide local teams during Month End Close to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators and financial metrics, ensuring precise reporting.
  • Analyze variances and prepare explanations for discrepancies.
  • Create detailed monthly/quarterly Management Reporting decks accurately.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team, Finance Business Partners, and Accounting team to refine processes and policies for transparent and precise financial reporting.
  • Design and implement automated financial control tools to uphold group controlling policies and ensure accurate posting in GL accounts.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or an Accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • Have 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounting or Controlling roles.
  • Show natural curiosity and a hunger for learning, with the ability to drive organizational change through effective stakeholder management.
  • Display strong numerical reasoning and logical thinking skills.
  • Previous experience in management reporting and financial forecasting is advantageous.
  • Possess knowledge of accounting principles, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Communicate clearly to convey complex issues to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Approach problem-solving practically and hands-on.
  • Demonstrate resilience in challenging environments and adaptability to fast-paced changes.
