Job Summary:
This job focuses on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting operations data to achieve positive business outcomes. Bring technical expertise to ensure data quality and accuracy, then process, design, and present it to assist management in making better decisions. Also, utilize expert knowledge of operational systems, workflow processes, and policies to ensure client service support, continuous improvement, and overall efficiency.
Job Duties and Competencies:
- Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and finance teams to enhance process interaction resulting in improved data quality.
- Gather data on current operations through observations, reports, and interviews.
- Analyze current operations to identify strengths and areas for enhancement.
- Design efficient operational processes and assist in implementing changes.
- Create dashboards using database tools like Power BI.
- Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with outsourced service providers when needed.
- Analyze data to uncover business opportunities.
- Improve workflow and inter-departmental collaboration.
- Support data integrity and normalization initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5 - 8 years' experience as a data analyst or business analyst.
- Analytical skills to spot trends, patterns, and inefficiencies in data gathered for improving business processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance business.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative management style.
- Open to direction, collaborative work style, and committed to task completion.
