Senior Manager, Creative Direction is a high-impact role in shaping the overall creative direction for Castlery.
You will be strengthening our brand vision by building compelling stories that communicate the value and unique attributes of Castlery's products through visual and aesthetic aspects of the brand.
You will be responsible for all new and existing brand identity design experiences, spearheading innovative, cutting-edge product and retail experience designs that set us apart from our competitors as we aim to be a leader in creating furniture that opens everyone's eyes to the spaces they already have, and the life that's yet to be lived in them.
What you'll be doing
- Contribute to and execute our brand's creative vision: support the development from concept to execution for all design initiatives, such as overall brand story, product design, packaging design, website presentation, and instore visual merchandising to ensure that they are consistent with our brand strategy, positioning, and identity.
- Translate, elevate, and incorporate our Castlery Brand DNA in all design solutions consistently to provide the best customer experiences: Provide guidance and direction to assortment planning, product design, content production, copywriters, and other creatives, ensuring all creative work, including new product design, showroom, and website presentation, is highquality, onbrand, and delivered on time. Work closely with different departments such as marketing and sales to ensure all creative work supports company's overall goals and objectives and that all departments are aligned in messaging and branding.
- Assist product design: Be heavily involved in both seasonal new product launch strategy and planning, and weekly new product design reviews. Assist decision making in product designs and ensure consistency in design style, colour, material and finishing.
- Lead, coordinate and collaborate with various departments for creative asset planning, including photoshoot, video production and digital campaigns.
- Staying up to date with industry trends: Conduct market research, attend industry conferences and events, and analyse industry trends to strengthen our product and brand presence. Stay informed about latest industry/design trends and techniques to ensure brand and products stay relevant and maintains leadership position.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Interior Design, Architecture, Marketing, or other equivalent fields.
- Over 6 years of significant experience in a creative leadership role. Experience in managing and mentoring product design and creative teams.
- A strategic thinker who showcases the ability to create compelling visuals and messaging that aligns with brand goals and values.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Deep understanding of branding and design principles, including layout, colours, materials and finishes. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of industry trends, design trends and emerging technologies, with a willingness to stay relevant and adapt to changes in the marketplace.
- Experience in the furniture retailing industry is a plus.
