About the role: The Global Account Director APAC is part of a global team servicing some of the largest businesses at TikTok. We are looking for a client-facing, customer service-oriented Global Account Director to lead the relationship with key regional APAC partners as part of their global relationship with TikTok.

The Account Director will play a crucial role in a growing team supporting the Global Accounts Team to meet objectives and provide top-notch account management and customer service to clients, both internal and external.

This position involves collaborating with the Global Accounts and Local Sales teams to drive revenue growth, oversee contract implementation, ensure legal compliance, manage financial and strategic incentives, and utilize data and analytics to create consultative solutions for our major global brand partners, as well as identify growth areas for our business.

The Account Director will establish and enhance key regional and local client relationships, focusing on supporting revenue generation, educating advertisers, and ensuring internal sales team satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is passionate about cross-functional account development, excels in strategic thinking, and is skilled in local market enablement.

This role entails working across various time zones and cultures, bringing a client-centric philosophy to both internal and external interactions.

The successful candidate is a visionary, intellectually curious, creative, entrepreneurial, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, strategic, and possesses extensive experience in leading through influence.


Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular business reviews and nurture long-term, consultative relationships with clients, in partnership with the global accounts and local sales teams.
  • Act as an external product consultant, educating clients and agencies on product solutions and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams across Consumer, Content, Product, and Revenue units to drive organizational KPIs.
  • Lead product update discussions, educate global brands on new and existing TikTok products, and offer advice on best practices to boost business opportunities.
  • Manage global reporting & analysis, deal fulfillment analysis, and market trends.
  • Share learnings and innovation across accounts and the global network, analyze performance data to provide data-driven insights to clients, and improve advertising offerings.
  • Collect and share marketplace feedback, guide account strategy, and support pre-sale research and pitch processes.
  • Develop C-level relationships with global brand executives, participate in local sales activities, and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Build comprehensive business plans for revenue growth, generate thought leadership content, and collaborate with the Global Agency team for synergistic advancement.

  • Minimum 710 years of experience in account management/client services roles in digital marketing.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of advertisers, understanding their business and media challenges.
  • Strong collaboration, data analysis, project management, and communication skills.
  • Global experience at global networks with a deep understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Proficiency in standard business software and ad verification partners.
  • Attention to detail, organized, proactive, and a fast learner.
  • Strategic thinking, critical analysis, and consultative skills in complex organizations.
