Roles & Responsibilities

Interisland Technology and Engineering Pte Ltd is looking for a proactive and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and streamline our operational activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, ensuring the efficient delivery of projects, and improving overall performance across various departments. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can drive operational excellence while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to support business goals.
  • Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • · Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management.
  • Lead and manage a team of supervisors and department heads, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve company objectives.
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • · Resolve operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Support the HR team in workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management within operational teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high-performance within the operations team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in construction, marine, or process industries.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and operational processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
