AtNISB, we aim to integrate a comprehensive set of Structural Biologytools to address fundamental questions in biology, to understandhuman diseases and to accelerate structure-based drug discovery. Wehave the expertise and equipment to bring your gene of interestfrom plasmid to atomic level structure using a series ofstate-of-the art platforms for Protein expression, biophysicalcharacterization and imaging using cryo-EM, tomography or X-raycrystallography.

We are looking for aSenior Research Fellow to play a leading role in running NISB inclose partnership with the NISB Director. This role offers a uniqueopportunity to drive impactful research while fosteringcollaboration and innovation in a dynamic scientific environment.The job scope includes:

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Collaboratewith various academic and industry users of NISB facilities todefine their needs and to help design and perform the experimentstogether with the core NISB team;
  • Lead the NISBcore team to ensure timely delivery of quality samples anddeliverables (overexpressed protein, structure with proper protocoland documentation;
  • Work with the core team tomaintain accurate and comprehensive reporting and documentation fortasks commissioned by academic and industryusers;
  • Support NISB Director in advocating forNISB's activities and technological platforms to enhancevisitibility and engagement withstakeholders;
  • Contribute to in-house researchand platform technological development : the successful candidatecan pursue independent research in structural biology orbiotechnology aligned with the institute's interest in proteinstructure andengineering.


JobRequirements:
  • A PhD degreein Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology,Biotechnology or related field
  • At least 2 yearsof relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-onexperience in protein related work
  • Possessesinternational experience, acquired through postdoctoral experiencedocumented by relevant publications
  • Goodwritten and oral communicationskills
  • Proficiency in handling software tocollect and process Structural Biology data (XDS, CCP4, Phenix forX-ray crystallography and Cryosparc, Relion forCryo-EM
  • Very good publication record ininternational peer reviewed journals in relevantfields
  • Strong ability to work independently, todevelop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye fordetails Excellent organizational and time managementskills
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skillsby working effectively with diverse academic and industrystakeholders, as well as thriving in a fast-paced environmentalongside the NISB coreteam
