You will work as part of an established and nationally funded multi-disciplinary research group that focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). You will work closely with patient cohorts and relevant pre-clinical models; processing biosamples and conducting of experiments to ensure timely achievement of project milestones. The ideal candidate will have a background in handling and processing of patient’s biosamples, maintaining the inventory of biosamples repository, as well as experience in molecular and cell biology functional work. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative research environment, working closely with post-docs, clinical coordinators, bioinformaticians, clinicians, and researchers involved in ongoing clinical trials. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cancer biology research, with the potential to directly impact therapeutic strategies for HCC patients. Expertise in cancer models, immunohistochemistry, and translational research is highly desirable. Opportunities for publications will be provided.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Timely processing of valuable clinical biosamples for translational research.
- Maintain accurate database of clinical biosamples.
- Able to perform molecular and cell biology functional work to provide quality and reliable experimental output.
- Establish research plan and methodologies, troubleshoot and run research independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in biomedical science or equivalent.
- Experience working with human samples is required.
- Familiar with techniques like flow cytometry, ELISA, western-blot, cell culture, animal work will be an advantage.
- Possess excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to coordinate diverse groups of people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and interactively in a team setting, motivated, responsible and a fast learner.
