Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role

The Manager, Transformation Office, serves as a pivotal support to the CEO and CTO, ensuring the effective implementation of APSN’s initiatives. Acting as a staff officer to the CEO, the role encompasses oversight of transformation projects, alignment of strategic priorities, and fostering innovation to position APSN as a forward-looking organization. The incumbent will drive cross-functional collaboration and support the organization’s efforts to adapt and thrive in a dynamic landscape.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Support to the CEO

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and strategic support to the CEO, ensuring alignment with APSN’s vision and Board initiatives.
  • Coordinate and prioritize strategic projects across departments in line with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials to facilitate decision-making and communication with stakeholders.

2. Support for the CTO and Strategic Plan Implementation

  • Work closely with the CTO to translate APSN’s strategic plans into actionable and measurable initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of transformation projects, ensuring they meet objectives within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with Project Champions and Project Managers to track progress and address challenges effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and CTO on the status of strategic plans and project milestones.

3. Horizon Scanning and Innovation

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform APSN’s programmes and services.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation that align with APSN’s mission and enhance beneficiary outcomes.
  • Propose forward-looking strategies to ensure APSN remains adaptive and relevant in the social service sector.

4. Change Management

  • Design and implement change management strategies to support organizational transitions.
  • Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives to prepare staff for new processes and systems.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to secure buy-in and drive successful adoption of changes.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze and improve existing processes to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine APSN’s strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Social Services, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or organizational development.
  • Proven track record of implementing multi-stakeholder projects successfully.
  • Familiarity with innovation and change management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the social service sector and its challenges is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking to align initiatives with APSN’s vision and Board priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and digital platforms.
  • Creative thinking to drive innovation and improvements.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a commitment to APSN’s mission.
  • Adaptable and resilient in dynamic and evolving environments.
  • Collaborative, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
