Human Resource Manager

  • Planning and coordinatingPlanning and organizing the workforce to use employees' talents to the best of their abilities
  • Recruiting and hiringOverseeing the recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
  • Training and developmentDeveloping and managing employee training programs, and ensuring employees are prepared for their assignments
  • Benefits and compensationPlanning and overseeing employee benefit programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation
  • Policies and proceduresDeveloping and maintaining HR-related policies and procedures, and ensuring employees follow them
  • Performance managementProviding constructive and timely performance evaluations, and ensuring performance is at peak levels
  • Employee relationsOverseeing employee relations, addressing disputes, and handling discipline and termination of employees
  • ComplianceEnsuring compliance with national and local HR regulations, and conducting investigations and maintaining records
  • CommunicationServing as a link between the company's management and its employees, and attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers
  • AdvisingAdvising other managers on human resources issues, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment

  • CommunicationHR managers should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should be able to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
