JOB SUMMARY
  • Support the PvB Service Transformation Team, Singaporein:
  • formulating and executing the processimprovement strategy to continuously improve the Client Experienceand Front Office's productivity.
  • developing aculture of continuous improvement among the Client Service Managers(CSM) and CSM Team Leaders who are back bone of the sales teamcomprising of RM, RMTL, MH, RH as well asIA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business
  • Assist the PvB Service Transformation Team, Singapore inidentifying opportunities for improvement and driving these towardsexecution in order to remove redundancies and enhance FrontOffice's productivity and Client Experience in PvB, suchas:
  • To support PvB change delivery efforts, indesigning and implementing process improvement for Global /Location initiatives.
  • To provide input on theFront Office processes to technology transformation teams, whenarticulating business requirements and implementing new technologyplatforms.
  • Working with the relevant teams toenhance the control environment within the Front Office being firstline of defence.
  • Ensure smooth execution ofprojects at the onset as well as functioning on daily basis whilemeeting deadlines.
  • Socializing changes withthe CSM during monthly huddles along with CSM TLs while clarifyingtheir doubts and collecting importantfeedbacks.

Processes
  • Review processes / parts of processes that require FrontOffice and CSM action. These include CDD Account Opening andPeriodic Review, Investment Trade Execution, Payments,Non-financial transactions, etc.
  • Ensure thatchanges have the required approvals under the PvB Operational RiskFramework.

People& Talent
  • Leadthrough example and build the appropriate culture and values. Setappropriate tone and expectations from the team and work incollaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure ongoing training and development to remainsuitably skilled and qualified for the role to mitigate anyrisks.

RiskManagement
  • Work withcontrol partners (e.g., Compliance, Operational Risk) to ensurethat proposed changes to processes do not deteriorate the controlenvironment of the privatebank.

Regulatory &Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Valuesand Code of Conduct.
  • Take personalresponsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics,including regulatory and business conduct, across StandardChartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliancewith, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations,guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Effectively and collaborativelyidentify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct andcompliancematters.

  • PvBRegional Heads, Market Heads, Team Leaders and RelationshipManagers.
  • Other CPBB teams, including COO,Controls & Supervision, Client Acceptance & Review,Operational Risk

OtherResponsibilities
  • Embed"Here for Good" and the Group's brand and values in PrivateBanking.
  • Perform other responsibilitiesassigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies andprocedures.

Our IdealCandidate
  • 5 plus yearsof experience in the Private Banking Front Office, in a ClientService Manager role.
  • Significant knowledge ofhow processes flow and technology systems work related to variousasset classes offered as products by a Private Bank.
  • Strong problem-solving and verbal communication skills;able to understand implications of proposed process / technologychanges on BAU practices, and articulate benefits / obstacles toovercome.
  • Self-motivated; able to followthrough on execution against defined timelines.
  • Performance orientation, disciplined execution of "tough"initiatives, ability to influence and convince stakeholders to "getthings done".
  • Experience in leading process ortechnology improvement projects in the private banking FrontOffice. .
