Job Summary:

The Employment Consultant is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of recruiting, matching, and placing domestic helpers (maids) with clients in Singapore. This role involves understanding client requirements, sourcing suitable candidates, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and providing excellent customer service to both employers and domestic helpers.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation:

- Meet with clients to understand their household needs, preferences, and expectations for hiring a domestic helper.

- Provide professional advice on the selection process, employment regulations, and responsibilities of employers.


2. Candidate Sourcing and Matching:

- Source and interview potential domestic helpers from various countries (e.g. Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines).

- Match candidates to clients based on skills, experience, and specific household requirements.

- Conduct background checks and verify the authenticity of candidates' documents.


3. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure all placements comply with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, including work permit applications and renewals.

- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and policies related to foreign domestic workers.


4. Documentation and Administration:

- Prepare and process employment contracts, work permits, and other necessary documentation.

- Maintain accurate records of clients, candidates, and placements in the agency’s database.


5. Customer Service:

- Provide ongoing support to both employers and domestic helpers, addressing any issues or concerns that arise during employment.

- Mediate and resolve conflicts between employers and domestic helpers when necessary.


6. Training and Orientation:

- Conduct pre-employment briefings for domestic helpers on Singapore’s culture, household expectations, and safety practices.

- Offer guidance to employers on managing and communicating effectively with their domestic helpers.


7. Sales and Business Development:

- Promote the agency’s services to potential clients through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.

- Achieve monthly or quarterly placement targets as set by the agency.


Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:

- Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent; diploma or degree in a related field is a plus.

- Prior experience in recruitment, customer service, or the maid agency industry is preferred.

- Possession of a Certificate of Employment Intermediary (CEI) is a bonus.


2. Skills and Competencies:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to build rapport with clients and candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds.

- Good organizational and time management skills.

- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Burmese, Mandarin) is an advantage.

- Basic understanding of Singapore’s employment laws and regulations.
