Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


1. Team Leadership

- Supervise, train, and motivate café staff to deliver exceptional service.

- Schedule shifts and manage team performance, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.

- Act as a point of escalation for staff issues or conflicts.

2. Operational Management

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow.

- Conduct opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, financial reporting, and security checks.

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.

3. Customer Experience

- Ensure customers receive excellent service and address any concerns or complaints professionally.

- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation of the café.

- Engage with customers to build relationships and enhance loyalty.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are adhered to.

- Conduct regular inspections and train staff on best practices.

5. Sales and Promotions

- Assist in achieving sales targets by upselling products and promoting specials.

- Implement promotional strategies and seasonal campaigns to attract customers.

6. Reporting and Feedback

- Provide regular reports on sales, staff performance, and customer feedback to management.

- Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions for operational efficiency.



Job Requirements


1. Experiences

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.

- Strong understanding of café operations, including food and beverage preparation.

2. Leadership

- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, especially during busy periods.

- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.

3. Knowledge

- Understanding of food safety regulations and workplace safety standards.

- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and menu planning is a plus.

4. Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding tasks like lifting and stocking.

5. Personal Traits

- Passionate about hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

- Proactive problem-solver with a positive and approachable demeanor.

6. Education/Certifications

- Certification in hospitality management, food safety, or barista training.


This role requires balancing operational tasks, team management, and customer service to ensure the café runs smoothly and profitably.
