The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, providing excellent patient care, and supporting medical research in the field of gastroenterology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting patient assessments and consultations related to gastrointestinal health.
  • Diagnosing and treating conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, liver diseases, and other digestive disorders.
  • Performing endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
  • Providing advice on diet, lifestyle changes, and medication to improve gastrointestinal health.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with medical protocols and standards.
  • Educating patients and their families on gastrointestinal health and disease prevention.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, attending medical conferences, and contributing to research in gastroenterology.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

  • In active clinical practice;
  • Basic medical degree registrable with the Singapore Medical Council;
  • Recognised postgraduate medical qualifications (eg MRCP) preferred but not mandatory;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as Medical Officer;
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
