Cargo - Associate ULD Management

The successful candidate will join the Cargo Ops & ULD Management department in SIA Cargo Division. He/She will manage the Aircraft Unit Load Devices (ULD) for the entire SIA Group (SIA, SIA Cargo, and Scoot) so as to ensure that systemwide passenger and cargo operations which require the use of ULDs are fully supported at all times.
Key Responsibilities
ULD management
- Manage the flow of SQ (and foreign ULDs) within the SQ network and ensure that stations’ ULD requirements are met at all times
- Liaise and follow up with other airlines regarding courtesy carry of ULDs as part of the network rebalancing effort
- Monitor the usage and return of leased ULDs
- Check that stations provide timely and accurate update of ULD status in Rx via standard ULD messages
- Check that stations perform RX ULD queue editing consistently as a standard post-departure activity
- Provide hand-on guidance to stations on the use of Rx ULD module
- Arrange for the repair of damaged ULDs with authorized/appointed repair facilities in SIN and/or at overseas stations, and ensure that repairs meet required technical specifications and certifications
- Conduct scheduled inspections and random spot checks on serviceability of ULDs at Apron, Baggage and Cargo Terminals in SIN
- Audit appointed repair facilities and suppliers when required
ULD administration
- Monitor the status of SQ and foreign ULDs transferred to/from other airlines via ULDCare website
- Verify demurrage charges levied by other airlines via ULDCare website
- Monitor and report on ULDs which are established to be missing at stations and to raise the Loss/Recovery Reports accordingly
- Compile statistics as required, such as ULD stock changes, ULD losses, ULD message errors/discrepancies, etc
- Ensure that all technical documentations relating to ULDs are in order
- Raise the Asset Disposal Application (ADA) for the proper disposal of the ULDs
- Raise purchase requisitions for the procurement of ULDs and related accessories
Others
- Provide loadsheet support for ad-hoc charter flights
Requirements
- A diploma in any discipline
- Experience in technical handling and maintenance of ULDs
- Experience in airport / cargo / ULD operations
- Knowledge of RX ULD module, related equipment, ULD repair, maintenance and support services
- Ability to work independent with strong attention to details
