This is a crucial role for the development and commercialization of REVIVOBioSystems’ organ-on-a-chip (OoaC) devices.The Organs-on-a-Chip Developer is responsible for the design, development, prototyping,characterization and optimization of REVIVO BioSystems’ current and future microfluidic devices,and for their integration with the ReleGO™ platform.The ideal person in this role combines strong microfluidic design and development skills withhands-on experience with cell cultures. She/he will work closely with the company’s R&D andService team to implement design optimizations according to biological and usability relatedspecifications.The Organs-on-a-Chip Developer also plays a leading practical role in building the supply chainfor our REVIVO BioSystems’ microfluidic devices and setup components and maintaining anappropriate inventory, as well in providing technical support to the clients.She/he will be a key enabler for the scale up of our microfluidic devices by collaborating withtechnical and manufacturing specialists and contractors in view of the product launches.As such, the Organs-on-a-Chip Developer must have a clear knowledge of microfluidic techniques,and stay up to date with microfluidic components and equipment, maintain an updated overviewof the organs-on-a-chip competitive landscape and should put forward ideas for improvement ofREVIVO’s devices and contribute to new IP.The person in this role is an important figure in the organization to accelerate thecommercialization and launch of our products, and support the development of new OoC productsand applications.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMaster's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Biomedical Engineering or BioengineeringMinimum 4 years’ experience as Microfluidics Engineer and with OoaC technology____________________________________________________________________________careers@revivobio.com 1 www.revivobio.com
Experience with the development of microfluidic systems, OoaC devices and fastprototyping techniques (experience with thermoplastic-based prototyping is a plus)Experience with mammalian cell cultures (experience with 3D cell culture is a plus)Knowledge of microfluidics theory and characterization techniquesBe comfortable & proficient using prototyping equipmentProficiency with CAD programmes (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and FEM simulatorsTechnical writing of documentation regarding experimental setups, protocols and assaysKnowledge in project Management in biomedical fieldExperience with programming and data analysis (Matlab, Office package, codinglanguages such as Python or C++ is an advantage)Detail and result oriented and flexible to the needs of dynamic laboratory environmentsAnalytical thinker who can manage priorities, problem-solve and manage multiple tasksCreative and innovative thinking skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWork well within a team____________________________________________________________________________careers@revivobio.com 2 www.revivobio.com
