As a member of the Investment Banking team at Alvarez & Marsal, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Managing Director to identify and convert opportunities into mandates, thereby supporting broader sector objectives. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders such as promoters, board members, and CXOs, serving as their trusted advisor on strategic issues. Additionally, you will lead the team in origination and execution of mandates, leveraging the expertise of colleagues in India and global offices.In terms of execution, you will be responsible for leading the process, including collateral preparation, marketing, structuring, negotiations, diligence, and closing across Private Equity and M&A transactions. Your role will involve providing oversight to ensure high-quality execution, aligning closely with client expectations, and managing the team's progress on transactions.As a leader within the firm, you will be expected to promote a performance-driven culture, set high standards of conduct, and lead a high-quality team with the objective of building a profitable P&L. You will act as a role model for the team, exemplifying behaviors that drive results while ensuring the respect of peers and colleagues.Stakeholder management is a crucial aspect of this role, and you will need to develop strong working relationships with diverse client-side stakeholders. By earning stakeholders" trust through exceptional work ethics and a commitment to confidentiality, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of business development and build a professional network.Communication and soft skills are essential qualities for this role, and you will be expected to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a commercial orientation and analytical abilities.In terms of team leadership and development, you will be responsible for building, mentoring, and leading a team of high-caliber investment banking professionals. Fostering an environment that values teamwork and continuous learning, you will set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and offer professional development opportunities to nurture talent. Collaboration across other teams in the firm is encouraged to leverage the organization's capabilities and provide holistic, multi-disciplinary solutions to clients.To qualify for this role, you should hold a CA or MBA from a premier institute, possess 8+ years of experience in investment banking, and have extensive knowledge of Indian markets. Additionally, you should have a strong network with mid-sized and large corporates and Private Equity investors, along with a deep understanding of any one of the Consumer & Consumer-tech, Healthcare, and Manufacturing & Industrials sectors. Proven experience as part of the senior team in an investment bank is also a requirement for this position.,
