Singapur, Singapore Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company Full time

Reports to the Chief Medical Officer, IHDS, this role is based in Singapore.This individual will provide regional leadership, direction and functional expertise on healthcare-related projects and initiatives, have strategic oversight of cases, and provide medical expertise to the claims division. This individual will also advance collaborative partnerships with other business divisions such as Sales and Client Management, by applying medical knowledge to support the business needs.

Reports to: Chief Medical Officer, IHDS

Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

Oversee Company medical programs and resources, directing activities with other departments, divisions, and external partners across APAC.

Develop and implement initiatives focused on preventive health, workplace wellness.

Apply data analytics, predictive models, and industry trends to develop utilization management strategies.

Collaborate with associates to provide medical expertise during the investigation, evaluation, and appropriate resolution of claims.

Review claims and evaluate the appropriateness and cost-effectiveness of the medical treatment and services.

Act as a liaison and advisor for associates communicating with healthcare providers and directly engage with providers when necessary.

Prepare and deliver training to non-clinical associates, serve as resource to provide ongoing education to other business units within the Company.

Prioritize health programs and interventions based on reported/claims/health data that will make the greatest impact on our customers.

Work collaboratively across Marketing, Customer Proposition, Data & Analytics, Sales and Client Management Teams to refine customer journey that will maximize Customer Engagement.

Ability to work in ambiguous or new situations by demonstrating a structured approach to diagnosing the problem, analyzing alternatives, recommending and implementing best solutions.

Ability to manage in an environment of constant change

Ability to manage projects remotely and can access to information across various areas/countries

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities

Ability to gain the support of local country operation through management-by-influence principles

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree or equivalent.

Active practicing licence registered with the Singapore Medical Council is an advantage.

Minimum 7 years’ clinical experience ideally in the following areas:

Family Medicine, including Preventive Health

General Surgery

Orthopedics

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Minimum 3 years’ experience in health insurance, healthcare systems and/or digital health

Familiar with the healthcare system and healthcare-related regulations in Singapore.

Proactive, has a curious mind and a strong desire to learn.

Adaptable and flexible.

Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in an additional language is a bonus.

Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on outcomes and results.

Ability to work independently.

Comfortable with working with all levels of management.

Culturally sensitive to a diverse, international workforce.
