JOB DESCRIPTION

A publicly listed real estate group is seeking a Group Tax Senior Manager to oversee the entire group financials and tax affairs.

Reporting to the VP, the Group Tax Senior Manager will oversee tax compliance, planning, and advisory matters, ensuring alignment with both local and international tax regulations. Key responsibilities include driving compliance across areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, GST, withholding tax, and capital allowances, while partnering closely with business units to strengthen tax processes and practices.

The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting corporate reorganization initiatives, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and cross-border financing activities from a tax perspective. The role also involves identifying and applying for tax incentives, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, and achieving optimal outcomes in tax controversies and dispute resolutions.

In addition, the incumbent will stay ahead of evolving tax regulations and global policy developments, assess their impact on the business, and lead efforts to simplify and optimize the group’s corporate structure. The position will also act as a key liaison with tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors to uphold strong tax governance and safeguard the group’s interests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance
  • Recognized professional accounting membership/certifications is good to have
  • Minimally 10 years of experience with corporate and international tax, regional experience is good to have
  • Previous experience with a Big 4 audit firm
