The Compassionate Network (TCN) is a registered charity in Singapore founded in 2023. TCN focuses on creating a compassionate community to support caregivers of patients facing advanced illnesses. Volunteers, corporate, and community partners come together to provide circles of care for caregivers, recognizing their well-being as a priority. TCN promotes caregiving as valuable life skills and aims to offer various forms of support in palliative care.
Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Manager for Community Partnerships (Outreach and Fundraising) whose primary role will focus on developing and executing outreach strategies to build strong community partnerships and lead fundraising efforts to support TCN's mission. This is a full-time hybrid role and the position is located in Singapore with flexibility for some work from home.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach and Partnerships
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with community groups, corporate organisations, grant makers and other stakeholders to promote TCN\'s mission and services.
- Foster partnerships with organizations to enhance TCN\'s reach and impact.
- Collaborate with existing partners to ensure ongoing support and engagement.
Fundraising
- Design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including events, campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Manage and steward existing donor relationships to ensure long-term support.
Event Planning
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, such as charity galas, auctions, and community activities.
- Ensure all events are well-promoted and executed to maximize fundraising potential.
Communication and Marketing
- Work with the communications team to develop compelling outreach materials and fundraising campaigns.
- Utilize social media platforms to promote TCN\'s work and engage with the community.
Team Management
- Support the fundraising committee and supervise volunteers involved in outreach and fundraising activities.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Maintain accurate records
- Monitor and report on outreach and fundraising progress, providing insights for strategy adjustments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of community partnerships and fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills

Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members.
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals that resonate with various audiences.
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different groups and levels within the organization.
- Strong ability to follow up and follow through
Project Management Skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and meeting fundraising goals.
- Experience in organising corporate and community outreach events.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Digital tools and CRM software
Marketing and Social Media Skills
- Familiarity with marketing principles and social media platforms to promote TCN\'s mission and events effectively.
- Ability to leverage digital tools for outreach and engagement.
Fundraising and Development Skills
- Experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies, including donor stewardship and event planning.
- Knowledge of donor relations, fundraising strategies, best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to analyze data and trends to inform outreach and fundraising strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
