Head of Compliance – Singapore Our client, a well-established capital markets firm with a strong global footprint, is seeking a highly experienced Head of Compliance to lead its Singapore-based compliance function. This is a senior leadership role requiring a deep understanding of capital markets, strong engagement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) , and hands‑on experience across a broad range of asset classes. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison with MAS , maintaining a proactive and collaborative relationship with the regulator. Lead and manage the Compliance function for the Singapore office, ensuring full adherence to local regulatory obligations and internal policies. Develop, implement, and oversee the firm’s compliance framework, monitoring systems, policies, and procedures. Provide strategic compliance advice across multi‑asset classes , including Fixed Income (FI) , Derivatives , Foreign Exchange (FX) , and other capital markets instruments. Act as the senior point of contact for internal stakeholders on all regulatory matters in Singapore. Lead regulatory change management, keeping the business informed and ready for upcoming changes in regulatory expectations. Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments, and compliance training for front office, operations, and support teams. Ensure robust surveillance and monitoring systems are in place and effective. Collaborate closely with global compliance counterparts to ensure consistency and alignment with global standards. Prepare and submit all required regulatory filings, including periodic reports to MAS. Represent the firm in external audits, inspections, and industry forums as required. Key Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in Compliance within capital markets, with strong exposure to MAS and the Singapore regulatory environment. Proven expertise across a range of financial instruments and asset classes including Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, and Structured Products . Prior experience managing regulatory engagements, inspections, and audits in Singapore. Strong working knowledge of MAS regulations , including but not limited to the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Notices, and Guidelines. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and regulators. Experience leading or building high‑performing compliance teams. Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, best execution, and surveillance tools is a strong advantage. Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CFA) are a plus. Why Join?
