About the jobWe are looking for an energetic Assistant Manager in Trade Marketing to join a dynamic consumer goods company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, marketing, and retail execution. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the brands connect with consumers in stores, strengthen relationships with retail partners, and contribute directly to business growth.
About the role Responsibilities- Translate market insights into actionable trade marketing strategies that boost visibility and sales.
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to design promotions and retail programs.
- Build strong working relationships with retailers and distributors, ensuring effective execution at the point of sale.
- Lead the planning and rollout of in-store displays, promotional campaigns, and activation activities.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and other key industry events to showcase products and drive new leads.
- Prepare proposals, reports, and presentations that highlight campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations to management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth delivery of initiatives.
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade marketing within FMCG or consumer products, with hands-on exposure to retail channels.
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects without close supervision.
- Creative thinker who enjoys developing practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across cultures and functions.
- Familiarity with marketing tools, reporting systems, and MS Office applications.
- Occasional regional travel required for business needs.
