Overview

A single-family office with an endowment-style investment approach is seeking a mid-level Investment Manager to oversee the private portfolio. The successful candidate should be experienced and will be responsible for manager selection in mid-market buyouts, early stage venture, opportunistic credit and secondaries. We do not expect the candidate to execute on direct investments. Expertise and familiarity with private funds analysis and tracking, as well as network in North America and Europe are value-add. Candidates are also expected to take night calls given that a significant number of our managers are based in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manager selection and due diligence across private equity, venture capital, secondaries, and private credit strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend commitments to funds aligned with the family’s long-term objectives.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including track record assessment, portfolio construction modeling, cashflow projections and benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain strong GP relationships and stay abreast of emerging managers, industry trends, and market cycles.
  • Work with the CIO and investment team on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management.
  • Prepare clear and concise investment recommendations and reporting materials for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fund selection, manager research, or investment roles with exposure to private markets.
  • Strong understanding of private equity, venture capital, secondaries, and private credit strategies, including portfolio dynamics and risk/return drivers.
  • Proven ability to assess manager quality through both qualitative judgment and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and portfolio management skills, with a focus on risk-adjusted returns.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Excellent time management, prioritise work-life integration and ability to take night calls for US managers
  • Ability to collaborate within a small team and independently execute ideas.
