You will be responsible for the radiation safety for department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine as well as contribute to the Radiation Response Team, Radiation Safety Officer and part of the Radiation Safety Committee. You will also be responsible for the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) program for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmacy laboratory, radiation safety and waste policies as well as radiation audits and inspections.

ResponsibilitiesManage the implementation of department's QA Program including the daily Quality Control checksWork with Biomedical Engineering to oversee the maintenance of all imaging equipmentUse various QA test tools to ascertain equipment fault as first line checkAssist in the dose management of staff for radiation safetyInvestigate reports from NEA when requiredTraining of new staff on the safe and proper use of radiation protection devicesConduct courses with lectures on radiation physics and radiation protection for trainee radiologists and other healthcare workersManage and advise on the annual test reports of the radiation protection apparel to ensure all lead aprons are duly checkedCalculate and provide information on the estimated absorbed dose and dose equivalence of patients undergoing radiological examinationConduct investigation as and when requiredProvide information and explanation to any queries with regards to the risk of radiationProvide wide scientific support in radiation and medical physicsParticipate in scientific research

RequirementsBachelor of Science (Hons) Healthcare Science (Radiation Physics) or equivalentMinimum 2 years in medical radiation servicesSound knowledge of Physics with critical thinking, analytical and good problem-solving skills
