Job Title: Lead Consultant (Real-Time Optimization) Location: Kuala Lumpur Employment Type: Full-time The job Experienced Lead Consultant to spearhead real‑time optimization projects for refinery and petrochemical operations using AVEVA™ Process Optimization software. The ideal candidate will lead end‑to‑end implementation, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and support presales activities. This role requires a strong background in process engineering, simulation tools, and optimization technologies. Key Responsibilities Project Implementation: Participate in project kick‑off and design specification meetings; lead the preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) documents; configure AVEVA™ Process Optimization applications; conduct model reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); oversee site commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT); prepare comprehensive project documentation. Training & Support: Deliver user training sessions; provide ongoing application support (on‑site and remote). Presales Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals; assist in cost estimation and solution scoping. Essential Requirements Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in refinery and petrochemical sector. 5+ years of experience in real‑time optimization projects. Hands‑on experience with process simulators (e.g., PRO/II, HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PetroSIM). Fluent in English (spoken and written). Willingness to travel up to 40% (domestic and international) during project execution and presales support. Desired Skills Familiarity with refining economics and enterprise‑level optimization. Knowledge of Advanced Process Control (APC). Exposure to enterprise/site‑level network architecture. Proficiency in VBA macros. Experience with plant data systems (e.g., OSI PI, Honeywell PHD, LIMS).
