Executive Director - Specialist in recruitment in the Finance/CFO, Middle Office & Operations space for Banking & Financial Services

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing global financial services / fintech firm, who have a strong foothold in the APAC region.

They are looking to hire a VP level candidate into their Finance team, with responsibility for Tax Accounting:

This role will be responsible for supporting the following:

  • Drive tax compliance efforts and implement group tax policies across all jurisdictions
  • Review and manage quarterly consolidated and key subsidiary income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations (ASC 740 & IFRS), including footnote disclosures
  • Prepare tax management reports and model effective tax rate (ETR) and cash tax forecasts
  • Manage tax audit processes and coordinate with external auditors
  • Lead tax accounting for acquisitions and other transactional activities
  • Oversee tax technology initiatives focused on accounting, compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing
  • Collaborate with the transfer pricing team to review key intercompany transactions (e.g. financing, support services)
  • Lead or support special projects and continuous process improvements

To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • 10+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting and multinational corporate tax departments (preference for Financial Services)
  • Deep expertise in ASC 740 and IFRS tax accounting, reporting, and compliance leadership
  • Hands-on experience implementing tax accounting or compliance technology solutions
  • Familiarity with managing tax operations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Solid understanding of transfer pricing principles and their practical application
