Role Position Summary Statement Reporting to the Director of Catering Sales, the Senior/Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for proactive sales and client servicing, highly motivated and aggressive in event acquisition and management focused on achieving strategies, objectives, goals and revenue generation in the discipline of corporate, social catering and weddings. Primary Responsibilities Secure new business and maintain repeat customers, prospecting to sell all banquet facilities and services for corporate, social catering and weddings. Proactively source leads to achieve and exceed individual and department sales targets. Prepare proposals for venue rental, meeting and event packages including menu and send them out within the set time frame. Attend walk‑in guests, telephone enquiries, sales calls and event needs and site viewing for potential customers. Engage in event execution, ensuring a unique, innovative and personalised guest experience. Manage sales activities, accounts, booking status updates and implement plans to maximise business opportunities. Follow up on all bookings, tentative or confirmed, in a timely manner. Ensure event documents are circulated within the set time frame to relevant departments. Comply with banquet operation procedures regarding issuance of event orders and follow up on the orders. Meet and greet customers before the start of the event and introduce the Banquet in‑charge and AV technician to the organiser to ensure proper hand‑over and communication. Conduct post‑event follow‑ups with clients. Prepare bi‑weekly banquet function forecasts and update confirmed sales‑to‑date for the subsequent three months during Banquet and Food & Beverage meetings. Establish a good working relationship with the Banquet Operations, Room Sales and other related departments. Participate in market surveys on competitors. Maintain contacts with suppliers and other establishments providing services linked to catering activities. Cover the Sales Executive & Assistant Catering Sales Manager’s role in their absence. Other ad hoc duties as required. Talent Profile Minimum 2 years of Catering Sales experience within a multinational organisation with proven track record. Minimum Diploma in any discipline. Driven, self‑motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Good influencing skills and the ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of which will require high level of patience, tact and diplomacy. An excellent team player who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Possess high level of integrity and respect for others. Sound MS Office skills. Candidate must possess a positive, professional image and contribute an energetic and positive attitude to the hotel atmosphere. Candidate has the flexibility to incorporate travel, evening and weekend work into their lifestyle.
