Our client, a leading financial institution in Asia, is seeking an experienced and qualified Data Analytics Specialist to strengthen its risk analytics and compliance function.

This role plays a critical part in driving data-driven decision-making and supporting assurance reviews within the technology and operational risk landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and analytical use cases to support risk monitoring and assurance efforts
  • Automate assurance testing processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and coverage
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data into centralized analytics platforms
  • Apply statistical models and analytics tools to derive insights from risk-related datasets
  • Ensure high data quality through rigorous cleansing, validation, and transformation
  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes
  • Promote the adoption of analytics across regional teams in support of risk and assurance initiatives
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends in data science and recommend best practices for implementation

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in financial services, technology risk, audit, or compliance
  • Strong domain knowledge in banking and technology operations
  • Proficient in data visualization, transformation, and advanced analytics
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis techniques

Technical skills:

  • Programming: Python, R, SQL, SAS
  • Automation Tools: Process automation and RPA tools
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lineage
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
