Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Rockwell Automation, a world-class industrial automation company, you will be responsible for full stack development focusing on Digital Manufacturing solutions such as Digital Twin, AI/ML, AR/VR, and Optimization. You will mentor team members, guide design and implementation techniques, decompose complex problems, and evaluate design alternatives. Join our Digital Manufacturing Software Development group to be part of a team that values knowledge sharing, innovation, learning, collaboration, and best practices.

You will report to our Global Digital Manufacturing Architect.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Write well-documented, high-performance code, including source code documentation that meets client standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and prepare design notes based on requirements, including problem definition, solution description, test scenarios, and migration issues.
  • Develop iterative prototypes.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
  • Create and execute unit tests across configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and recommend solutions as a client liaison.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 7-10 years of software development or Industry 4.0 experience, including Digital Twin, AI/ML, AR/VR.
  • Experience with Python, C#, Java, or similar languages.
  • Experience leading architecture, design, and development of Digital Manufacturing solutions.
  • Ability to prepare work estimates and create automated tests.
