Job Description Summary

You will be responsible to ensure all parts due for shipment are supplied with all relevant quality/shipping documents. You will also ensure timely closure of customer orders by coordinating other functional departments.

Site Overview

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS) is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume. The site leverages automated processes, smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Support stocking of component engine parts from New Make and Consignment materials.
  • Picking and swapping of component engine parts for shipment.
  • Ensure parts are stocked from shop and that associated paperwork is complete.
  • Perform all required transactions for material transfer.
  • Perform cycle-counts and Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other functional departments to ensure timely closure of customer orders.
  • Support and perform Inbound Receiving scope for Repair parts.
  • Support and perform Outbound shipment scope for Repair parts.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in logistics; able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets in English; fast learner; able to carry heavy loads under pressure.
Required Qualifications
  • O' Level/ NITEC and/or experience in Shipping or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and standard operating procedures in English
  • Fast learner
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to carry heavy loads
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift license
  • Knowledge in Inventory Management
  • Basic knowledge in IT (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Able to operate Automated Storage Retrieval System/Lean Lift for parts storage and retrieval
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet delivery requirements
  • Able to work with a Quality mindset
  • A team player
