Technician

Roles & Responsibilities:-

1. Equipment Installation & Setup

• Install, assemble, and configure machinery, systems, or devices according to specifications.
• Conduct initial testing to ensure proper operation and functionality.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures during installation.
  Document installation procedures and updates for future reference.

2. Routine Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust machines for optimal performance.
• Monitor equipment for wear and tear and replace parts as needed.
  Maintain logs of all maintenance activities.

3. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical faults quickly and accurately.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Collaborate with engineers or senior technicians for complex issues.
  Ensure repaired equipment meets operational standards before returning to use.

4. Testing & Calibration

• Test machinery, instruments, and systems to verify proper functionality.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate measurements and performance.
• Identify and correct deviations in system performance.
  Maintain calibration records and certificates as required.

5. Quality Control & Assurance

• Inspect equipment and systems for compliance with company and industry standards.
• Report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations.
• Recommend corrective actions to improve product quality or operational efficiency.
  Participate in audits and quality assessments as needed.

6. Technical Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installations.
• Prepare reports detailing problems identified, corrective actions, and solutions.
• Update manuals and technical guides for team use.
  Ensure proper documentation for regulatory or audit purposes.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
• Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
  Assist in safety audits and compliance checks.

8. Technical Support

• Provide support to engineers, technicians, or end-users facing technical issues.
• Offer guidance on operating equipment and systems correctly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems both on-site and remotely.
  Train staff on the proper use and care of equipment.

9. Inventory & Resource Management

• Track tools, equipment, and spare parts in inventory.
• Order replacements or new supplies as required.
• Ensure all resources are properly stored and maintained.
  Maintain accurate records of resource usage for planning purposes.

10. Project Assistance

• Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of technical projects.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems.
• Provide technical expertise and support during project execution.
  Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within specifications.

11. Training & Mentorship

• Guide junior technicians or apprentices in technical tasks.
• Conduct training sessions on equipment usage, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Share best practices and technical knowledge to improve team performance.
  Encourage continuous skill development among team members.

12. Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies in equipment operation or workflows.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Implement changes in collaboration with management or engineering teams.
  Monitor results and make adjustments as needed.

13. Customer & Client Interaction

• Communicate technical information clearly to clients or end-users.
• Provide updates on service, repairs, or installations.
• Respond to client inquiries or complaints professionally.
  Build and maintain positive client relationships through reliable service.

14. Software & System Support

• Operate and troubleshoot software or control systems related to equipment.
• Perform software updates, patches, or firmware upgrades.
• Ensure systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
  Train users on technical software operation where required.

15. Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to equipment failures or urgent technical issues.
• Minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions.
• Follow emergency protocols to ensure safety and efficiency.
  Document incidents and corrective actions taken.

16. Equipment Upgrades & Modifications

• Assist in upgrading or modifying existing systems or machinery.
• Test modifications to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
• Document changes for future reference and compliance.
  Recommend enhancements based on technological advancements.

17. Energy & Resource Efficiency

• Monitor equipment to ensure energy efficiency and reduce waste.
• Suggest methods to lower operational costs without compromising quality.
• Implement energy-saving measures where possible.
  Track results and provide feedback for improvement.

18. Coordination with Vendors & Suppliers

• Liaise with vendors for equipment maintenance, supply of parts, or technical support.
• Ensure timely delivery of resources and adherence to contracts.
• Resolve technical issues with suppliers efficiently.
  Maintain records of vendor communications and agreements.

19. Record Compliance & Reporting

• Maintain detailed records for regulatory compliance, audits, or certifications.
• Prepare performance reports, maintenance schedules, and incident logs.
• Submit reports to management or regulatory bodies on time.
  Ensure all records are accurate, organized, and easily retrievable.

20. Problem Analysis & Recommendation

• Analyze recurring issues and identify root causes.
• Propose solutions or preventive measures to avoid future problems.
• Collaborate with management for decision-making on equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Track effectiveness of implemented solutions.
