
Integration Engineer – Security Services

Responsibilities
- Oversee the secure integration of components such as base stations, controllers, and related network elements.
- Ensure that the integration of both hardware and software follows industry-leading security best practices to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Implement strong security protocols in the integration of new features, software releases, and network elements to safeguard network infrastructure.
- Conduct security-focused end-to-end testing of components, including interoperability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and RF security testing to ensure robust network protection against threats.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to assess risk and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIST, etc.).
- Configure network elements while integrating security configuration management tools to enforce secure parameter settings and updates.
- Implement security patches and software updates across the infrastructure, ensuring that vulnerabilities are promptly addressed.
- Continuously monitor and tune network performance with a focus on detecting and mitigating any emerging security threats.
- Prepare detailed integration plans, security audit reports, and technical documentation for each component to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Maintain comprehensive records of configurations, security testing results, issues, and resolutions to ensure proper documentation for compliance and future audits.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and security teams on progress, risk assessments, and security-related issues encountered during the integration process.
- Work closely with cybersecurity experts to implement secure architecture, ensuring protection against attacks such as Denial of Service (DoS) and man-in-the-middle.
- Coordinate with IT security teams to implement and enforce company-wide security policies across the infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve integration issues, including security vulnerabilities, connectivity failures, and performance degradation.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, coordinating remediation actions to minimize risk and exposure.
- Provide technical support to the operations and security teams post-integration, ensuring proper security monitoring of components.
- Ensure all integration activities align with the company’s security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest telecom security trends, standards, and emerging threats, integrating them into the design and integration process.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry security standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in integration and security in wireless network technologies (LTE, 5G).
- Experience in implementing security controls for telecommunications networks and understanding of common cyber threats to components
- Strong expertise in components (e.g., eNodeB, gNodeB, RNC, BSC) and security configurations for these systems.
- Hands-on experience with security tools for network monitoring (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption techniques).
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent network security certifications.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, collaborative environments while adhering to security protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in cloud-native and Open technologies, with a focus on securing cloud infrastructures.
- Familiarity with network management systems, monitoring tools (e.g., NetAct, OSS/BSS), and security incident response protocols.
