Job Description

The Senior Consultant I will provide technical expertise on project tasks under the supervision of a project manager to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within budget to meet customer requirements. This includes supporting the project manager in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. As part of a project team, the Senior Consultant I will maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers to help identify new business opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical expertise on project tasks using marine systems engineering principles, including system integration, functional safety, and regulatory compliance, under the supervision of a project manager.
  • Assist in defining and sequencing project tasks, estimating durations, and developing project schedules.
  • Lead or facilitate technical workshops with shipyard teams, suppliers, and owners’ representatives.
  • Review project management plans, understand scope and schedule.
  • Plan and schedule client meetings, resolve system issues, and address Class comments.
  • Participate in client and team meetings.
  • Assist with research, data analysis, and review of vendor documentation.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Assist with client presentations and track project hours and metrics.
  • Understand shipyard system integration and acceptance testing across the shipbuilding lifecycle.
  • Work with all levels, provide input, meet deadlines, and adapt to client needs.
  • Perform quality assurance on deliverables.
  • Develop relationships for business development.
  • Learn and promote ABS Group products and services.
  • Engage with clients, review reports, participate in proposals, and industry activities.

What You Will Need:

  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification preferred.
