What You Will Be Working On
  • Define new opportunities for Home Team impact through identifying meaningful insights from exploratory data analysis.
  • Design and conduct data science experiments to test hypotheses and validate model results, ensuring rigorous methodology and reproducibility.
  • Conduct data pre-processing for feature engineering, build machine learning model pipelines and improve model performance.
  • Implement workflows for monitoring model drift and retraining.
  • Interact with product teams to identify questions, opportunities and challenges for product impact.
  • Formulate, refine and lead AI initiatives, involving multiple stakeholders with productionisation of models and products in mind.
  • Coach and develop the data scientists within the Language AI team.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in STEM disciplines. PhD in STEM disciplines with minimum of 8 years of extensive experience might be considered for more senior positions.
  • Applicants with system architecture design and product deployment experience will be considered for more senior positions.
  • Strong understanding in one or more of the following areas:
  • Language AI – Spoken; Multilingual; Speech-to-Text / Text-to-Speech / Speech-to-Speech; Speech deep-fake detection
  • Language AI – Written; Multimodal; Document understanding and retrieval / RAG systems
  • Edge Computing; Link Analysis; Network/Graph analysis; Predictive modelling
Personal Characteristics & Behaviours
  • Good critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to work under tight timelines

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
