The Airside Operations Planning Senior Associate/Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating safe and efficient aircraft operations on runways and taxiways, including the prevention of accidents from runway incursions.

You will develop and review policies, concepts of operations, and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and safety in areas such as runway safety management, foreign object debris (FOD) hazard management, wildlife hazard management, and systems/infrastructure in the airfield maneuvering area. You will also maintain safety programs and collaborate with stakeholders to uphold high safety standards at Changi Airport. This work involves coordination with airlines, aircrew, Air Traffic Controllers, ground handling agents, licensed drivers, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Additionally, you will review runway safety recommendations for implementation, drive safety measure deployment, and work with operations and engineering teams to ensure asset and SOP compliance for safe airfield operations. You will analyze factors affecting the airfield's capacity and efficiency, actively seeking to reduce issues such as runway downtime caused by foreign object debris and bird strikes.

You will also engage in innovative projects, introducing and testing new technologies to improve airside safety and operations, including leveraging technology for better detection and prevention of runway incursions, FOD, and wildlife hazards.

  • Ability to multi-task with good operational judgment
  • Interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience in airside operations and familiarity with the airfield is advantageous
